Nada como el amor puro y verdadero de una madre; un niño de nombre Evan vivió la experiencia más increíble a sus 4 años de edad.

La madre de Evan le cumplió su gran deseo, llevarlo a Disneyland y conocer a sus personajes favoritos disfrazado de sus princesas favoritas de Disney, Minnie Mouse, Elsa de Frozen y Maléfica.

Mood + Vibes = Triggered ?? When I first started bringing my kids to Disneyland people thought I was nuts ? They couldn’t imagine why I would want to take so many special needs children into a noisy, crowded, overwhelming environment. And for those of y’all who think it can’t be done, let me tell you, I used to pack them all up (plus the dog) and drive 21 hours from Texas to California 2-4 times a year just to spend a few days in Disneyland! Yes, you read that right! 21 hours…EACH WAY! I wanted my kids lives to be as magical as possible (for more reasons than one). Beyond that, I wanted them to learn how to adapt to environments that aren’t always ideal for the kinds of diagnoses/struggles/challenges they each live with everyday. I was raised in the 80’s and I’ve always felt common sense parenting (as I call it) goes a long way with kiddos. It hasn’t been without it’s really difficult moments, but my method has worked for my kiddos. Children like Evan are often uncomfortable around others and don’t like being touched. While he has a hard time with eye contact, he’s found the verbal and physical interactions to be the highlight of our weekly trips. For most parents, experiences like this are cute and fun, but for me they’re life ?? Today, 3 years ago, I walked into a court room and legally became this kids mom ?♥️ And he legally became Evan McLeod. I am never not grateful for the privilege of raising this amazing child, my beautiful son. ••• “No matter where you go, or what they may call you, you will always be my son.” ~ Jungle Book ••• He came to me a 5 day old preemie suffering from drug withdrawals. Today, he has grown into a fun (albeit feisty) 4 year old who loves everything Disney, dressing up, dinosaurs, and meeting new people. I’m so proud of my Evan Evan who isn’t seven! I sometimes forget that my children are adopted bc they feel like an extension of my own heart and body. We’ve had our ups and downs and he still struggles with delays and behavioral issues, but he’s always got a smile and big hug waiting for me ? He’s a joy to everyone that meets him and exudes love and kindness from the top of his head down to his chubby little toes. Inmediatamente las fotografías y videos se convirtieron en virales, ya que desafortunadamente el pequeño Evan sufre de autismo. La madre de Evan hizo su sueño realidad y lo vistió de todos sus personajes favoritos, también lo acompañaron sus hermanos a vivir este emotivo momento.

It’s Friendship Friday and we are so thankful for our wonderful Disney pals! Wanna spend some time with your favorite friends on your next visit to Disneyland? Here’s a few of my tricks (and treats!): 1. Hang out by the Livery Stable next to Mad Hatters on Main St at the front of the park. The characters pop right out of here and it’s the perfect opportunity to get a video of your kiddo (or you, no judgment!) walking hand in hand with them. You can also ask a CM what time they’re due to come out. 2. Be sure to check those Disney apps for time and location if you want to see a specific character. 3. Rest those aching feet by sitting on the benches near Pixie Hollow. Characters heading to Fantasyland use the walkway between Tomorrowland and Pixie Hollow. And extra bonus is the beautiful pond and flowers that make a stunning backdrop in this area! When your mind says Halloween ? but your heart says Christmas ? ••• HAPPY FIRST DAY OF NOVEMBER!!! In just a little over a week the parks will be transformed into a winter wonderland ❄️ And you know what that means…TONS of Santa Mickey merch ? Evan got his Loungefly Santa Mickey from Shop Disney, but these bags can also be found in World of Disney! The Christmas merchandise hit the parks a couple weeks ago and I’m loving what I’m seeing.
